Our Story
The Chabad Lubavitch Northeast Philadelphia Jewish Education Center serves as a vibrant hub for Jewish life in Northeast Philadelphia. In 2024, this center was established to enrich Jewish education, outreach, and community connection. Partnering with the well-established Lubavitcher Center, the Gansburgs and the Shemtovs work together to create a warm and welcoming environment where everyone is invited to experience the beauty and wisdom of Judaism.
Our centers offer a wide range of programs and services designed to foster spiritual growth, Jewish learning, and meaningful connections. Whether you are new to the area or have lived here for years, you will find opportunities for prayer, study, celebration, and social connection. We are dedicated to helping individuals of all backgrounds deepen their connection with their Jewish heritage and with Hashem.

Meet the Gansburgs
Rabbi Mendel Gansburg grew up in New York and pursued his studies in Jewish thought and practice at Oholei Torah and the Central Chabad Yeshivah at 770 Eastern Parkway, where he received his rabbinical ordination. Known for his infectious optimism and joyful personality, Rabbi Mendel is deeply committed to serving the community and inspiring others through his warmth and dedication.
Moussia Gansburg was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. She is a passionate educator, teaching classes for women and nurturing their two children with care and wisdom. Moussia’s exquisite taste and creative vision shine through in the events she plans at Chabad, making each gathering meaningful and memorable.
Together, Rabbi and Mrs. Gansburg are dedicated to fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment where every individual feels valued and at home.
